I was just thinking, if someone wanted to ignore someone else, could there be a combo box that says only ignore private or public qns if you click on the ignore Qns? I just thought it would be nice to differentiate.
There is someone on here who I want to ignore only private qns from, but still be able to see their public stuff. so I thought this would be a good idea.

Yes it can. because if someone was going to harase you via QNs it would be private, not in a public setting, so is there a point of ignoring publics, because, what if that person has something to add to a conversation that is going on. and you are there. they wouldn't harase you in a public setting where they might risk getting their head fwacked off by some angry admin or comunity leader.
Just wanted to say I agree that this sounds like a really good idea. I don't know whether I would use it myself, but I can get where it would be really useful, especially because of the situation mentioned in the above post.
yeah I mean you can ignore phone messages and even board posts so why not just private notes. I agree.
good, now I wonder what the admins and CL's think. but it is true, who would harase someone in public QNs with out fear of getting ther own head bitten off? plus it could mess up the flow of conversation., that is the same with board posts.

I agree with this suggestion 100 percent. lol I believe I've been trying to get this feature implemented for a while but it wasn't taken to much. I'd actually rather turn private qns off all together as I'd rather people say things to me pubblicly or just IM me if it's private.
well, I know that can be done, but sometimes I'm not in im and want to talk to someone privatly, but there are others I don't want privates from, but would still want to see them publicly, even if I don't talk to htem, no point in inturupting a converasation flow.
There are some people that would still speak their mind to you in a public setting. So don't think that the openness of the public forum
Thomwill hide you from the conflict. If there is a conflict there at all.
yes, maybe, but it will be less likely, they might still speak, but a bit more coutiously.
and you would not be harassed privately by someone, I think that is the entire meaning here?? so if person a say is a bother, you should just be able to turn that person off and still get notes from b. c. etc.
Yeah would be less likely that someone would get on to someone else in public where everyone can see them and stuff.
